After half a decade’s experience creating beautiful home libraries around the world, this year I decided to take my experience of talking to clients and of curating their collections to pursue a project that would reach a wider audience.

The purpose of A Room Of Your Own is to explore this intersection of place, memory and reading. I encourage guests and listeners to think about how they create the spaces that they inhabit, and how what they read and where they choose to spend their time is an expression of their personality.

My aim - both with this podcast and with my work building libraries - is to understand and explore the meaning of memories of place and the books that we read, so that we can imagine and create places that really matter to us.
