Library Building

“This is the most beautiful place on earth. There are many such places. Every man, every woman, carries in heart and mind the image of the ideal place, the one true home, known or unknown, actual or visionary. A houseboat in Kashmir… a cabin on the shore of a blue lake in spruce and fir country… or even, possibly… the world to be seen from a comfortable apartment high in the tender, velvety smog of Manhattan, Chicago, Paris, Tokyo, Rio or Rome - there's no limit to the human capacity for the homing sentiment.”

— Edward Abbey, Desert Solitaire

Curation Process

Initial Request

Fill in the form in the ‘contact’ section to get started. This will ask some basic questions about how you see the project. There is no commitment from you at this stage, this is just a chance for me to understand your interests and how you would imagine your ideal library.

Reading Consultation

This is a chance for me to ask you questions that will help me to select the very best books for your library, and to understand more about where it will be and how it will fit in to your space.

Final Project Proposal

Once we have had the chance to discuss the scope of the project, I will prepare a final proposal with all the details of everything we have discussed. Once this has been finalised with you, I can begin work curating your library.

Curation & Installation

After finalising the scope of the project and agreeing to a budget and timeframe, I will start work on putting together your library.

On completion, you will have the option to have me install your library in your home and guide you through my choices.
